Spring is here, and this May is a very exiting time for us at NARS!
Especially in Selfridges Birmingham, we have the launch of the brand new beauty hall and lots of events going on (more information at Selfridges.com)
April was the launch of all or new Artistry Brushes which I will be blogging about after this blog post and to follow such an amazing launch are the brand new Matte multiples, Contour blushes, new lip glosses AND summer collection! This is a brief overview of all things new to NARS!

First up is the new Matte Multiples and the first question everyone is asking is why are they smaller than the other multiples but still the same price? This was a question I asked first too, however do not worry as the new matte texture is such a rich creamy consistency saturated with colour you need a lot less product, therefore you don't get through them as fast as the other ones.
For those who don't know matte multiples are a soft creamy product for lips and cheeks that can be used wet or dry to create a flawless, seamless, matte pop of colour. These beauties come in 8 easy to wear shades and can be applied 2 different ways, personally I prefer to use them dry as you get a more intense colour on the face. You can also use them wet simply by wetting your finger and then patting on colour for more of a sheer finish.
My must have matte multiples for me and what I've found I am using most on customers are:
Altai (medium brown): For a beautiful contour on light/medium skin.
Siam (bright coral): Amazing on any skin tone light or dark for an intense pop of colour.
Exumas (Peachy coral): A perfect peach again fabulous on anyone for a light pop of colour.

Next is for me the most exiting launch so far this year the absolutely AMAZING contour blush pallets these babies are incredible there are 3 different shades Olympia, Paloma and Gienah. Inside you'll find a large contour powder and a highlight powder, Now don't be confused this isn't a bronzer this is a contour powder so used for sculpting and shaping your face, if you are looking for a more all over bronzed look try using Laguna or Casino bronzing powder by NARS. If you are unsure about contouring and how to do it I will be doing a contour blog post too. These powders are thicker than a normal powder so again like all NARS products you don't need loads and loads just build it up in thin layers if you desire a darker look, this way of contouring is fool proof with how easy the powders blend together streaky highlights and contours will be a thing of the past.
Top: Olympia
Left: Paloma
Right: Gienah
Works well with: Altai matte multiple, brushed over the top for a super intense contour, move over Kim Kardashian!
Last but not least is the reformulation and packaging of all of the NARS lip glosses and the New summer collection. The glosses are 100x better than before luxury soft non sticky formula and no smell to them makes them perfect, with some glittery, some shimmery and some just plain colour the new range keeps all the NARS gloss favourites. Turkish delight, Wonder, Orgasm and more, with the addition of some amazing new colours you have to get yourself to a counter to see these as photos just don't do them justice!
SUMMER! The NARS summer collection launched 1st May here in the UK and is now on counters all over the UK. After having a mess around with this collection it definitely screams summer goddess. The new liquid illuminator 'hot sand' is my favourite product from the collection, a peachy champagne colour perfect for a summery glow. Once I have played around with this collection more I plan to do a whole blog about it with swatches and in depth reviews about each product.
Thats it from me all the products are available from NARS cosmetics but I do urge you all to come to a counter so you can try the products yourself and see how amazing they are, there will be blogs following this one with more in-depth reviews, swatches and how to's.
Happy shopping!
